The thing that interested me most in this article was the description of the televisual world and how media technologies are never entirely a "instrumental or material" form. When these technologies enter religion, they have already been used to document other things, in Antonio's case, weddings, birthday parties etc. Because of this even the media has a preconceived style and opinions on what televisual realities should look like.
This contrasted one of our discussions in class about the media used to portray the Hauka rituals. During the discussion we talked about how the camera and media was an objective view point while the commentary was the subjective part. However this portion of this article displays that not even technology can completely remove the subject from interpretation. How the technology is used means that there is a specific style for all things in the televisual world, and that even things like cameras and tapes and videos are subjective in themselves.
